Kizuna

Kizuna is a Japanese word that translates as bonds. The kind of bonds that I’m talking about are not financial although they do possess great value. These bonds are the deep ties that we have with people, ties that are worth more than gold or silver; dollar or euro; stocks or securities. Anyone thay says they can have a fully satisfying life without one of these bonds is either a big fat liar or a really sad and lonely person. Every one of us needs a connection with someone on this life. But we also need to recognize that some bonds that we have formed need to be severed as they are no longer good for us.

So as I lay here typing these thoughts into my phone, I challenge you to examine the bonds in your life and determine which ones need to stay, which need to go, and which bonds need to be formed.
